Family Bond That Is Created Through Shuttlecock and Blockbusters

Spending quality time with family has always been so important to me. Some of my favorite memories from growing up involve the hobbies that my family enjoy doing together - playing badminton at the plaza of our barangay and cozy movie nights indoors. Whether we're competing outside or relaxing inside in front of the TV, these activities have brought us so much laughter and closeness over the years.

Ever since I was little, my mom and cousin have involved me in their badminton matches. At first, I was no match for their skills as they effortlessly smashed the shuttlecock using rackets back and forth. But over time, with practice and motivation, I started to have some improvement. Now our matches are truly competitive as the three of us dash around the court, strategizing ways to score points against each other. It's a fun full-body workout and the smiles and high-fives we share during and after our games make all the effort worthwhile.

Once we're tired out from our badminton session, movie nights have become the perfect way to unwind together as a family. We'll spend time in the kitchen making popcorns, or fries and different snacks like piattos which one of my favorite. Then we'll debate over which film to choose - whether a horror which we mostly pick, a romantic comedy or a thriller blockbuster. Once we decide and get cozy under blankets on the couch as the movie start to roll, and it feels like nothing can disturb our quality time together. Discussing the movie afterwards has become a tradition to us, laughing at one another because of how we react during the movie. I cherish being able to bond with my family over what we loved most or analyzing different characters.

These shared hobbies have created a lifetime of wonderful memories that I look back on so fondly. I'm extremely grateful for the quality time they allow me to spend with my favorite people. Even as our lives get busier, we still try to carve out moments for badminton matches in the yard and movie nights indoors whenever possible. The laughs and smiles we share keep our family feeling close, no matter what else is going on in the world outside.
